The autism@maelstrom.stjohns.edu list is a very active e-mail discussion list covering many aspects of life with individuals with autism: education; dealing with school districts, IEPS, doctors, etc.; and medical, dietary, and biological issues. It has a nice mix of parents, professionals, and people who are on the autism/PD. spectrum. I heavily filter this list, as there are a lot of issues that I'm not directly involved with, and it can (as with any list) occasionally break down into political warfare or in long tirades against school districts, teachers, etc. (which of course, some may justify, but which I find of little use). Still, this is a well-populated list, and one which provides a lot of information if you are willing to wade through some other stuff on occasion.
